meals with even distribution of carbohydrates
which affect blood glucose level the most.
Carbohydrates can be found in various foods, most obviously in sugar likes granulated sugar, brown sugar, glucose, maple syrup, honey, etc. They also include the starch found in grains, tubers or root vegetables, and dried beans, fructose in fruits, and lactose in milk.
However, it doesn’t mean people on diabetic diet cannot enjoy wide variety of foods, but we recommend to limit the intake of sugary foods or use natural sweeteners instead.
